The UEFA (Union of European Football Associations), the administrative body for association football in Europe, has just released their 2012 Team of the Year. Meanwhile, FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), the international governing body of association football, futsal and beach soccer, has also released their 2012 Team of the Year.
Which one is ur favorite Team of the Year?
Comparing the two sides, UEFA and FIFA are almost identical. The differences are the form (UEFA: 4-4-2 v. FIFA: 4-3-3), 4 different in defensive option, 2 different in midfield option, and 1 different in attacking option.
UEFA has stronger defensive line than FIFA but lack speed, Philip Lahm alone can’t boost the frontline pressure. Thiago Silva and Gerard Piqué are surely world youngest defenders and surely we may be able to see them here at least once more. Sergio Ramos is better played in side back (FIFA), but with the like of Daniel Alves and Marcelo the side back of FIFA is almost unstoppable.
In the midfield, UEFA still compose stronger support for the strikers as there are 4 top players. Xavi and Iniesta appears on both side, and they both are very excellent with short pass. Pirlo (UEFA) and Xabi Alonso (FIFIA) are good in passing, both long and short. With the speed and technique of Mesut Ozil, UEFA will gain more possession against any opponent.
Turning to attacking options, with the scoring ability of Falcao, FIFA is virtually unbeatable and may have scored at least 3 goals per match, had they played. With Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi play in wide open area, their dribbling and speed can surely make the defensive line of their opponent confusing and even crumbling. But I don’t know whether Ronaldo and Messi can play together or not (UEFA).
P.S: The goalkeeper Iker Casillas is unarguably the world best goalkeeper now, no comparison.
At the end of the article, it is you to make the decision: Which one is ur favorite? 😉
